At DR Psychological and Legal Counselling Centre we specialise in family dispute resolution, couples and individual counselling/psychotherapy and the delivery of educational training programs to businesses and educational establishments. DR Counselling is a secular, non-discriminating organisation offering services to all clients irrespective of their age, gender, caste, religion and community.

Our Founder, Director and Chief Consultant, Mr Suresh Thonnakkal is a qualified advocate and psychologist, obtaining his qualifications and experience from University of Kerala, University of Calicut, Nalzar Law University in Hydrabad, Ramachandran Medical College (Department of Psychology), in Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram Medical College (Psychiatric Department) and NIMHANs (Psychology Depatment) in Bangalore. In order to maintain his knowledge and position at the cutting edge of his profession he regularly attends and participates in seminars and professional development events throughout India.

Nowadays the basic needs of human beings are rapidly evolving. We have come a long way from the era of the ancient man who sought only food and shelter and now live in the complex technological and social world of the 21st century. Therefore it is quite normal for us to face challenges, events and problems in our daily lives which changes our emotional states.

In order to excel in this world, feel peaceful and happy within ourselves, there is now a new human need which has an important place in our lives, the need for psychological and legal counselling.

Counselling used to be thought of as a service exclusively for those suffering with mental disorders. This has now completely changed and it is now it is an integral part of the lives of healthy successful individuals from all walks of life.
