Baba Studio was started in 1956 by the Late Shri. N. Nanukuttan Nair at East Fort and he was considered the pioneer in the photography industry in Trivandrum.
Shri. Jayasankar V N, who is widely known as Balu (the eldest son of Shri. N. Nanukuttan Nair) joined the family business in 1982 and steered the enterprise into lucrative business... verticals. He and his father were the visionaries who started the Babas Color at the Railway Station Road in Trivandrum in the year 1985.
During this period is when the semi-automatic color lab machine was introduced. And a year later it was upgraded to the Kodak high speed printing machine.
