About Us
Metro Scans and Laboratory is one of the largest chain of medical diagnostic centres in Kerala. We have more than 10 branches across Kerala providing services ranging from 3 Tesla / 1.5 Tesla MRI,128 slice CT scan,High end Ultrasound and all other diagnostic services including Fully automated laboratory services accredited by National Accreditation Board for Laboratories(NABL).

Metro Scans and Laboratory was inaugurated on 17th Aug 2003 at Trivandrum which brought a new trend in the field of Medical Diagnostics in capital city of Kerala - viz, Quality and Consistency in diagnostic services especially in the emerging field of Medical Imaging.

Metro Scans introduced the latest equipments in Diagnostic Imaging and Laboratory services in 2003- an entire range under one roof . It provided a new experience to the citizen of capital city ,who has enthusiastically supported our ventures in last several years.

Now we are currently having 4 centres with full fledged stand alone facilities from 1.5T MRI to laboratory service and more than 6 smaller centres including in-hospital facilities across Kerala. Throughout these years we have kept our word with the medical community, introducing several new modalities and excelling in image quality.

METRO IMAGING SERVICES
Metro Imaging Services focusses on radiology and use of multiple imaging technologies to diagnose the illness of our customers. We currently posses 1.5T MRI which uses electromagnetic field and radio frequencies to create the inner images of body, 128 Slice CT(Computed tomography) to obtain very thin slices of inner images of body (as thin as 0.65mm) with substantially reduced quantity of radiation exposure. We also posses Ultrasound machine capable of Colour Doppler, 3D/4D scans, Anomaly scans , Echocardiogram, etc. Our radiology department is completely digitalised to reduce the radiation exposure to the patients with DIGITAL X RAY, MAMMOGRAPHY, OPG( dental X-Ray) etc.

LABORATORY SERVICES
Metro Laboratory Services focusses on laboratory and use of multiple state of art technologies to process blood, urine and other samples to diagnose the illness of our customers. We are having fully automated machines for BIOCHEMISTRY, IMMUNOLOGY, HORMONES, HEMATOLOGY studies with minimal human interfaces thus reducing the error percentage in reporting. We are also accredited by NABL( National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories.) for highest quality standards in the country for all these services. Biochemistry services are concerned with measurement and detection of chemical and physico-chemical processes and substances which occur within living organisms.Immunology services is the branch of medicine concerned with level of immunity while Hormone Services deals with measurement of hormones level in our blood. Hematology services studies the physiology of the blood. Pathology services studies the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.. Microbiology deals with microorganism and their sensitivity towards antibiotics.
