Mohana bakery was founded by Late Mr. Paramu. He started his career as baker in Royal Indian Army which was then led by Britishers. A special appreciation was given to him by British higher official for this distinguished service in the army and the same was published in London Gazette 19 September 1946. Our grandfather left British Army ... during the Indian freedom fight and came back to his homeland Travancore. He had been specially invited by Travancore palace several times to prepare baked items whenever they had guests from Europe. Also, he had been offered the permanent chef position in the palace and with all due respect, he denied it due to his passion to open his own bakery.
