The late Muhammad Kutty Saravath in 1977 decided to open his family grinding mill to the community when he realized the need for good quality powdered products. After his passing, it was his daughters Mrs. Thahira and Mrs. Zulaikha who re-opened the mill under the brand name that we are known today, Amis. What started as a one employee mi... ll on daily wage, quickly expanded to four flourishing mechanically operated mills in the Kannur district providing jobs for around fifty employees, more than half of which are women. Amis, as a brand, embodies like its founder, the priority to support the community by delivering quality products.
