3rd June 2009 is a memorable date in the history of Jai Bharath Educational Foundation when it received the AICTE approval for the Jai Bharath College of Management and Engineering Technology and subsequently, on 20th August 2009, the College got the affiliation from University for CE, M.E, EEE, ECE & CSE branches. The classes for the first batch of students commenced on 24th August 2009.

Principal

Dr.Shameer K Mohammed
B.Tech., M.Tech, Ph.D
Dr.Shameer K Mohammed completed his B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, M.Tech in Embedded systems from Karunya University and Ph.D in Ocean Electronics from Bharathiar University. He was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Electronics, Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) in the area of underwater acoustics, artificial intelligence & machine learning.

He had done his research in the Centre for Ocean Electronics, CUSAT and served as Project Scientist for Naval Research Board, DRDO project. During this tenure he had carried out several field data collection expeditions across the Indian ocean, developed several data collection buoy systems and automated target recognition systems. He has published widely in international journals, has presented several papers in national, international conferences and is a reviewer for international journals.

Dr. Shameer formerly held the position of Vice Principal, Head of the Department & Nodal officer for various central/state government skill development programs and startup initiatives. He is a fellow of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers. He had organised several faculty development programs, seminars, hackathons and symposiums.

He also worked in industry as Project Manager in Threeseas Infologics Pvt. Ltd., Technopark Trivandrum. He served as the Executive Director of Bharati Infologics Pvt. Ltd., for nurturing and supporting startups. He is the CEO of Bluemink Innovations Pvt. Ltd incubated at the Technology Business Incubator, CITTIC, CUSAT. He is also one among the founder directors of Gandhigram Rural Development Trust, Trivandrum.
