College of Architecture Trivandrum is one of the largest architectural schools in Trivandrum, the capital city of the state of Kerala, India. The institute is popularly known as CAT. The institution was established in the year 2011 as a privately owned educational institution. CAT attracts students from all parts of Kerala and also from the nearby states.

The College of Architecture Trivandrum envisages an interdisciplinary and interconnected curriculum with an intention to prepare a new genre of architects who would be able to use creatively the evidences collected from real data while developing concepts. This forms the basis of architectural design with an emphasis on formal aesthetics of the 21st century. Research in architectural theory and research driven practice of faculty members formed another layer to the design education. The constant effort to meet the vision of becoming the "institute of choice for the best student" has made the environment academically challenging and interesting to both students and teachers.

College of Architecture Trivandrum envisages an interdisciplinary and interconnected curriculum and pedagogy to give a comprehensive understanding to the learners. It is intended to prepare a new genre of sensitive professionals who would be able to comprehend and use the evidences collected from real life problems while developing concepts for functional , creative and contextual design solutions .


CAT has a very well qualified faculty with expertise and experience in varied areas related to Architecture / Design . Equipped with a strong theory base and research driven practice, the team of faculty is a major strength of the institute.



The lush green C.A.T campus with world class infrastructure, integrated and crafted with the concept of “green buildings” exudes a positive and rich learning ambience. C.A.T is essentially the culmination of the vision to become the “institute of choice for the best student”.
