The college started functioning as a junior college in 1967. MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad is the proud symbol of the Muslim Educational Society. University of Calicut permitted to start degree classes during 1971-1972 in History, Economics, Mathematics, Botany and Commerce. The college is affiliated to Calicut University. The college has been accredited for a period of 5 years with B++ grade (institutional score above 80%) by the NAAC in 2004.
