We focus on providing students with a conducive environment merged with state-of-the-art facilities and guidance from esteemed lecturers in the pursuit of humanising each student to participate in society as a responsible citizen, dynamic professional, and empathetic human. Our visionary endeavour, envisaged and promoted by our foundress, Mother Teresa of St. Rose of Lima, is to bask in the light of a “Civilization of love”, i.e., the Kingdom of God by imparting knowledge and civilization.

The story begins in the late 19th century, during a period of social and educational change in Kerala. Recognizing the need for quality education for girls, the CSST Sisters, led by the pioneering Mother Magdalen and sister Theresa of St Rose of Lima , embarked on a mission to establish educational institutions for women in Alleppey ,Kottayam & Ernakulam . In 1892 , they started an orphanage in Kottayam, near The Manorama Office,Later shifted the whole school near Railway Station .A humble first step that would eventually blossom into St. Joseph's.
The orphanage soon evolved into a small school, offering basic literacy and religious education to girls from underprivileged backgrounds. This initiative resonated with the local community, and in 1913, the school formally opened its doors under the name "St. Joseph's Convent School." With a dedicated team of CSST Sisters leading the way, the school curriculum expanded to include subjects like English, Mathematics, and History.
