Govinda Pai Memorial Govt: College, Manjeshwar was formally inaugurated by late Sri.E.K.Nayanar, the former Cheaf minister of Kerala on 22nd September 1980, Sri R. Gundu Rao, the Chief minister of Karnataka, Sri. Baby John Minister of Education, Govt. of Kerala, Dr. A. Subba Rao, Minister of Irrigation, Govt.of Kerala and Sri. Veerappa Moily, Minster of finance, Govt. of Karnataka were present on the occasion. The college is affiliated to Kannur University. Admission procedures are strictly based on merit and Govt. rules .
