THE VIBE Music Conservatory is an independent training centre in Kochi, led by professionals who share their passion and knowledge with the like minded.

The students have the opportunity to jam with the faculty who include John and Nithin of Motherjane. The members of Motherjane will also provide valuable tips on performance that they’ve picked up while touring and doing concerts as well as how to sync with other musicians.

We believe in the ideology that ‘TONE IS MUSIC’. THE VIBE has isolated rooms which are acoustically treated to produce maximum tone from the instruments. The ambience of the rooms has been designed in a way to let sunlight in to reduce fatigue and enhance the learning experience. We give top priority to hearing protection and ear plugs are supplied to the drum students free of cost.

The student is provided with information on the current music scenario and the industry on a regular basis. Hence, the curriculum is personally designed by the faculty in order to meet the industry requirements. They will also incorporate several techniques from prominent music schools and educators that they deem appropriate. The focus will be on Performance with hands on training, listening and analyzing music, posture, repertoire development and improving music reading skills.

The reception area is also a lounge, designed to make a students feel at ease and hopefully unleash the artist within.

THE VIBE plans to invite teachers from other prominent schools as well as musicians, as visiting faculty, to enhance the students’ learning experience.

THE VIBE also aims to step up the action by bringing in International bands and artists for concerts in the city so the students can watch them live and interact with them. Workshop and seminars by international artists will be held on a regular basis at the institute.

THE VIBE will encourage students to get up on stage and perform by providing them with a platform. We think it is necessary for talented students to shed their inhibitions and be able to tackle public performances.

Should any student wish to get certified under Trinity College London, ABRSM, Rockschool, etc., THE VIBE will make the necessary arrangements for them.

THE VIBE is founded and promoted by David Joseph and John Thomas. John started his drum training under David back in the 90s. David later moved to Muscat and worked with several other music schools, besides playing with a lot of international artists while they toured there. John is the drummer with Motherjane.
The co-promoters of THE VIBE are Ani Varghese and Suresh John. Ani and Suresh, based in the Middle East, are ardent music enthusiasts. They will be spearheading the events division of The Vibe.
