Kreupasanam has been functioning for the last 25 years especially in the coastal and rural areas of Kerala to uplift the social status, rejuvenate the cultural activities and spiritual enlightenment that is initiated under the able guidance of Rev.Fr.V.P.Joseph Valiyaveetil, Founder & Director, Kreupasanam.

The Genesis
The concept was formed in 1989 and it was compiled into an organization and was registered on October 1992 under Travancore -Kochi, 1955act. More than 50 centers are functioning in the coastal belt of Kerala. Educated, professional and dedicated personnel are associating with Kreupasanam for its well-being. Kreupasanam Ranga kalapeedam is exclusively for promoting folklore arts in coastal region of Kerala .A building for Kreupasanam cultural centre is being constructed at Kalavoor in Alappuzha district. The main spirit behind the organization is Fr. Joseph, Valiyaveetil. The major financial source of the organization is local sponsorships and contributions.

The Conception in 1989
The concept was developed in the middle of 1989, realising the vacuum of a centre/organization in satisfying the need of the common people, living in the coast of Alappuzha-Kochi region. Initially, it was in the form of 'oro-conference' and counseling process. Eventually, it became an organization for training, research and coastal development with the components of spiritual-education-employment-health-cultural empowerment.
