Our Four-pronged SMILE approach to skilling has been well received by Career Aspirants. Besides English, we have rolled out in major regional languages too, lifting our portal to Leadership Position at National Level.

In 2011, INSTITUTE OF BANKING STUDIES (IBS) had a humble start as a IBPS banking studies to groom and coach the bank job aspirants to take up a career in banking sector. The instant success in guiding the students to secure placement in banks increased our enthusiasm to extend our expertise by introducing IIBF flagship certification courses, such as DBF, JAIIB, CAIIB, CCP, Forex, and other certification courses for bankers. Since then IBS has added value to the profiles of more than 14,000 bank personnel and continue increasing. Our success story started in 2011 when our first students enrolled for bank clerical and probationary officers, and we are proud that the first batch attained 100% success by getting reasonably good scorecards in the common written examination.

IBS has imprinted a success story from its base at Kayamkulam, Kerala in 2011, in turning aspiring bankers to be competitive. We have extended our reach among NBFCs, training of Debt Recovery Agents, conducting skill development programs under National Skill Development Mission, to name a few, about our extended foray into BFSI sector. Our pantheon of faculty members have served the banking industry in the top executive grades.

The main activities of IBS are:

Career Bankers: IBS has been pioneering in coaching career bankers for JAIIB/CAIIB certificate examinations of IIBF as well as their other Diploma / Certification examinations. The revised methodology of coaching career bankers begins with supplying the course aspirants with reading material in the form of Printed Notes which is constantly updated. After giving about a month’s time for them to read the notes, seasoned faculty take them through a structured interaction over a digital platform. The interaction is sustained through WhatsApp and Telegram groups. Innumerable mock tests are also offered to hasten the preparations. Customised programs are run for in-house promotion tests in banks.
Aspiring Bankers: IBS engages job aspirants in BFSI sector through structured programs in digital mode to prepare them at pre recruitment level for the examinations of IBPS. This is also laced with practise questions and mock tests.
NBFCs: IIBF has introduced a customised examination exclusively for NBFC employees that is being incentivised by many of the NBFCs. We are well equipped with courseware, question bank and faculty in training these aspirants.
Debt Recovery Agents: Any Bank that wishes to engage Debt Recovery Agents has to ensure that the agents undergo mandated training and clear a Certificate level examination before taking up such assignment. IBS is an accredited institution by IIBF in imparting this skill.
DBF program for College Students: There is a captive market in management institutes and regular colleges where the main campus placement is Banks, for conducting classes for Diploma in Banking and Finance program of IIBF. After passing DBF, if students join a Bank, they can get automatic credit for DBF Certificate as JAIIB which entitles them to an additional increment on joining itself and puts them on an accelerated path for clearing CAIIB.
